Who Are We?

Mary Eckard

Mary is passionate about leading others into life changing relationships with Jesus Christ. She is a national speaker for women’s conferences, retreats and seminars. She has ministered through her previous church affiliations as Guest Services Director, Women’s Ministry Director, and participated in other nonprofit ministries, including Stonecroft, MOPS, Iron Sharpens Iron and SOAR Conferences.

Mary has a heart for discipleship and encouraging others to pursue God. Her captivating testimony chronicles a journey of relying on God’s strength and guidance through a decision to donate her kidney to a neighbor. This story is a wonderful description of what it means to honor God with our lives. Mary enjoys hiking, travel, reading and spending time with friends. Mary resides in North Texas and is the proud mother of four adult children – Aubrey, Kendall, Tyler and Patrick and grandmother of eight.

Mary’s chief calling is to reflect God’s light, joy, and love so that others will be drawn to Him–the source of life– as referenced in Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

Martha Shipman

Martha exudes the joy of the Lord as her true heart’s desire is to be used by God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She has traveled the world to share her biblical knowledge and helped “set the captive free.”

Martha’s passion is to help others recognize worldly lies and to counter them with Biblical truths. She actively disciples women and is used of God to ignite the process of healing from abuse, broken homes, marriages, and situations where individuals have been beaten down to such an extent they believe they are not worthy of God’s love.

Martha’s wisdom and positive influence extends to people outside the church doors as she has served as a Counselor for the Crisis Center and the Juvenile Detention center. She has also directed the ESOL (English as a Second Language) program, which signifies her ability to diversify her talents in a foreign language.

Martha shares her vision with women during Dragonfly Ministries retreats and is available for other speaking engagements as well.

Martha and her husband, Doyle, reside in Little Elm, Texas. She is the proud mother of her daughter, Amy, and an even prouder grandmother. Her personal journey in life can be summed up in Isaiah 61:1-3.
